IVF is a one of the effective fertilization methods to help a woman conceive successfully. In this method an ovum or ova (egg or eggs) is removed from the woman’s ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a liquid in a laboratory then they are fused to form a zygote. The zygote then undergoes a embryo culture, the embryo is then transferred to the same woman’s uterus for a successful pregnancy.
IUI Intrauterine insemination is a fertility treatment that involves placing sperm inside a woman’s uterus to facilitate fertilization. The goal of IUI is to increase the number of sperm that reach the fallopian tubes and subsequently increase the chance of fertilization. This increases the motility of the sperm and increases the chances of fertilization.
Oocyte cryopreservation or egg freezing is a procedure to preserve a woman’s eggs. This technique is used for women who wish to postpone pregnancy. When healthy eggs are freezed the woman can choose to fertilize and then the embryo is transferred to the uterus for a successful pregnancy.
ICSI method of fertilization in which a single sperm cell is injected directly into the cytoplasm of an egg. This technique is used in order to prepare the gametes for the obtention of embryos that may be transferred to a maternal uterus.
